If you know Human Design, knowing that I’m a Manifesting Generator probably explains a lot about me! I’m very much a woman of many hats and have finally learnt that I don’t necessarily need to choose just one.

For more than 25 years, one of those hats has been a career in the Australian Public Service, where I still work full-time in a corporate role. Alongside that very structured side of my life, however, has always been another side that is much more intuitive, creative and spiritual.

One of the biggest parts of my life outside of my day job is TwoJays Emporium, the business I have run with my mum, Janet, for more than 10 years. TwoJays has grown and evolved with us over that time, beginning as a predominantly spiritual based business and now evolving into more of a boutique wellness brand, while still holding onto the heart of where we began.

Together we create intentional aromatherapy and wellness products, with our philosophy “Create Your Intention” sitting at the heart of what we do. For us, it’s about creating products that allow people to choose what they need in that moment. Whether that is protection, grounding, nurturing, self-love, clarity or simply a little space to reconnect with themselves. TwoJays also gives me an outlet for so many of the things I love like creating, experimenting, developing new ideas and bringing them to life.

My own connection to the spiritual world goes back to my teenage years. I grew up surrounded by spirituality, so intuition, energy, essential oils, divination tools, and exploring the things we can’t necessarily see or explain have always felt quite natural to me. As a teenager, I became increasingly aware of my own intuition and connection to that world, and it has been something I have continued to explore throughout my life.

For around eight years, I have been training and working in the energy healing space, gathering different modalities into what I think of as my spiritual toolkit. Along the way I have trained in Angelic Reiki, crystal and shamanic healing, sound healing therapy, human design and, more recently, breathwork. Some I use more than others, but each has given me another tool, another perspective and another piece to draw upon as I work towards creating a healing practice that feels uniquely me.

Sound, however, has always felt a little different. It was something I felt called towards for a long time, and somewhere within me I think I always knew it was a modality I needed to explore. When I finally undertook my sound healing and facilitator training, it felt like I had found something that could bring so many of the different pieces of my healing journey together.

That led to the creation of Arwen Studio, my own space for sound and energy healing, and somewhere I can bring together the different parts of my spiritual toolkit. Arwen is where I’m giving myself the space to work out what I want my own healing practice to look like. I have the foundations to offer sound baths, individual energy healing and breathwork sessions, while continuing to explore how I want to bring my different modalities together in a way that feels uniquely me. It’s still an evolving space, and one I’m allowing myself to build in my own time rather than feeling like I need to have it all figured out straight away.

So, these days, rather than trying to work out which hat I’m supposed to wear, I’m learning to appreciate that they are all part of me. The full-time public servant, business owner, creator and healer might seem like very different worlds, but somehow, they all fit, although I suspect the Manifesting Generator in me will always have another idea waiting in the wings!
