Michelle Richards
Director & Senior Clinical Audiometrist
Michelle Richards Hearing

Michelle is the founder of Michelle Richards Hearing, an independent audiology clinic in Dickson, Canberra, built on her passion for providing ethical, personalised care within her local community.

She believes hearing care is about so much more than hearing and listening devices — it’s about connection, confidence, relationships, and helping people stay engaged in the moments that matter most. Michelle takes a warm, one-on-one approach, creating a relaxed and supportive environment where clients feel genuinely heard and understood.

As a proudly local and independent Audiometrist, Michelle is not aligned with any one hearing aid manufacturer, allowing her to offer genuine choice across a range of leading hearing aid brands. This ensures her recommendations are always guided by what is best for each individual’s lifestyle, needs, and budget.

Her scope of practice includes comprehensive hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings and rehabilitation, wax management, and ongoing care. Michelle is an accredited provider with the Hearing Services Program (HSP) and Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), and holds a current Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.

Michelle also provides in-home and nursing home visits, supporting residents, educating care staff, and guiding families on effective communication strategies to help maintain connection and quality of life.

Deeply connected to her community, Michelle is passionate about raising awareness of hearing health and empowering people to seek support early.

Her practice is built on her core values: Ethical. Local. Independent.
