Welcome to HerZest The Circle
The Circle is our private Facebook community for HerZest members. A place to connect, ask questions, share ideas, celebrate wins, support one another and get to know the fabulous women behind the businesses.
We want this to be a useful, welcoming and genuinely supportive space, so we have a few simple rules.
Be kind and respectful
We’re all grown-ups, and we won’t always agree – that’s okay.
Please communicate respectfully and treat other members, the Zest Canberra team, speakers, partners and guests with courtesy. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, personal attacks or deliberately offensive behaviour won’t be tolerated.
Healthy discussion is welcome. Being nasty isn’t.
Yes, you can promote your business. But there’s a catch!
We absolutely want to know what our members are doing.
You are welcome to promote your business, services, products, events, workshops, training, courses and other offers within The Circle.
However, anything promotional must include a genuine benefit, discount or exclusive offer specifically for HerZest members.
The offer needs to be something our members would not ordinarily receive. An offer or discount already available to the general public doesn’t count.
So, if you’re going to tell The Circle about something you’re selling, give your fellow members a little something extra!
No promoting competing groups or events
The Circle isn’t the place to promote or recruit for another business network, membership community, networking group or event that competes or conflicts with Zest Canberra or HerZest.
Of course you can belong to other groups, attend other events and support other communities. We’re not trying to tell you what you can do outside The Circle.
We simply ask that you don’t use our community to build or promote a competing one.
If you’re unsure whether something is appropriate to share, please ask us before posting.
Don’t spam the group
We love hearing about your business. We don’t need to hear about it every second day.
Please keep promotional posts reasonable and balance them with genuine participation in the community.
Join conversations, answer questions, celebrate other members, share useful information and get involved. The Circle works best when it’s a community rather than an advertising board.
What’s shared in The Circle stays in The Circle
Members sometimes share business challenges, ideas, experiences or other information they wouldn’t necessarily share publicly.
Please respect that.
Don’t screenshot, copy or share another member’s post, comments, personal information or business information outside the group without their permission.
Don’t harvest member details
Please don’t use The Circle or its membership to collect contact details, add members to mailing lists or send unsolicited bulk messages.
Making genuine connections with other members is encouraged. Treating the member list as a prospecting database isn’t.
Celebrate, ask and contribute!
This isn’t just a place for polished business content.
Had a great week? Tell us.
Need a recommendation? Ask.
Looking for a supplier? Someone in here might know exactly who you need.
Have a question you think is silly? Ask it anyway. Chances are someone else is wondering the same thing.
Found something genuinely useful? Share it.
The more our members participate, the more valuable The Circle becomes for everyone.
Admin decisions
The Zest Canberra team may remove posts or comments that don’t comply with these rules or aren’t appropriate for The Circle.
Repeated or serious breaches may result in a member’s access to the group being restricted or removed in accordance with the Zest Canberra and HerZest Membership Terms and Conditions.
If there’s any uncertainty about whether a post, promotion, event or activity is appropriate for The Circle, the final decision rests with the Founder of Zest Canberra.
Most importantly – connect, contribute and support each other. That’s what The Circle is here for.
