Susannah French
Independent Neurodiversity Researcher and Founder of The Harpy's Oracle
I’m a Canberra-based sociologist, researcher, and tarot practitioner with a passion for depth, nuance, and the kinds of conversations that actually move something. I hold a PhD from the Australian National University, where my research explored masking and camouflaging in autistic women, work that weaves together neurodiversity, identity, and what it really means to be seen.
I’m the Founder of The Harpy’s Oracle, a tarot practice built on nearly two decades of experience and shaped by sociological and neurodiversity-affirming frameworks. I have a reading room residency at Soma Women’s Wellbeing in Dickson and show up at Haig Park Village Markets and Hartley Hall Markets most Sundays. Come say hello! Whether you’re seeking clarity, sitting with a big question, or just curious about what tarot can offer, I bring warmth, rigour, and genuine care to every reading.
I’m also a Board Member of Rebus Theatre, a disability theatre company based in Canberra, and serve as Chair of the Intersectionality Advisory Group, because the work doesn’t stop at the tarot table. I love connecting with people and projects that share my values across wellbeing, neurodiversity, creativity, and community. If something feels like it could be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you.
